In today’s article, I am going to tell you that how you can download IESCO bill online, what often happens is that the bill does not reach our address on time or when we are not at home then it gets very difficult to pay the IESCO bill on time. 1. First you need to identify your 14 digits reference number, which you can find on previous month electricity bill. The reference number of IESCO bill is mentioned on left top section of the bill.

2. After identifying the reference number, enter that reference number in above mentioned box. Make sure you enter the correct reference number. Do not enter spaces or hyphens in reference number box.

3. After entering the reference number, click on “Check Bill” button. After few seconds, system will process your request and if the current month bill is available in the system, you will get the bill with complete details.

4. If you want to take the print of that bill for payment processing, click on the “Print” button. You can also save the bill in pdf format for future use.

Understand your IESCO Bill

Following are the elements of your bill.

Connection Date: The date on which electricity connection was installed on you premises.

ED@: Electricity Duty imposed by government on consumer for using electricity.

Bill Month: Month for which you have used electricity and paying the electricity bill.  

Issue Date: Date on which IESCO generates bill and sent to consumers.

Due Date: Last date to pay your current month electricity bill.

Consumer ID: Unique ID allotted to every consumer to track the details of consumer in IESCO records.

Tariff: Pricing structure to determine how much you are being charged for the consumed electricity.

Reference No: Unique number assigned to consumer to help IESCO to track and identify the transaction.

Division: Area in which consumer’s electricity meter is installed. IESCO have multiple divisions help to manage the electricity distribution, billing and complaints.

Sub Division: smaller unit with in large division.

Feeder Name: feeder that supplies electricity to specific area.

Name and Address: Name of the consumer and address of premises where electricity meter is installed.

Previous Reading: meter reading recorded during last billing month. This helps to calculate the total units consumed current month.

Present Reading: reading recorded at the end of the current billing month.

Units: Actual number of units consumed during current month.

Cost of Electricity: cost being charged to consumer for using electricity.

IESCO stands for Islamabad Electric Supply Company. IESCO was incorporated on April 25^th, 1998 under section 32 and certificate for commencement of business was obtained on June 1^st, 1998 under the section 146(2) of Companies Ordinance 1984.

Islamabad Electric Supply Company Is one of the electricity distribution companies that supplies electricity to Islamabad and its adjoining areas. Main task of IESCO is to supply electricity to residential, commercial and industrial consumers in its jurisdiction. IESCO is divided into 6 Circles, 20 Divisions and 110 Subdivisions. These 6 Circles are headed by Superintending Engineers, Divisions are managed by Executive Engineers while Sub Divisional Officers run Subdivisions.  IESCO looks after the distribution of electricity in the districts of Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jehlum and Islamabad.

New Connection Charges

Following are the lump sum charges IESCO charge for New General Connections under Tariff A1 and A2.

4	Service line length above 40 meters and upto and including 100 meters with one span LT with Ant Conductor and one Pole (Not applicable on connections under Housing Societies).	Rs. 11,000 + 800 per meter above 40 meters
5	Length of service line above 100 meters and upto and including 160 meters with two span LT with Ant Conductor and two Poles (not applicable on connections under Housing Societies).	Rs. 60,000 + 1000 per meter above 100 meters

Customer Service Centers of IESCO:

In 6 Circles of IESCO, 11 customer service centers are introduced by IESCO. Which provide multiple facilities to customers such as:

• By visiting the CSC, you can get your duplicate IESCO bill.
• If your get wrong reading and your units are les than 500 then you can get that bill corrected from CSC.
• Three installments of electricity bill upto Rs.25000/-
• 3 days extension in due date of the bill upto Rs.25,000/-
• Against paid bills, issuance of reconnection order.
• Late Payment surcharge can be waived off upto Rs.1,000/-
• New connection form.
• Arrears correction
